Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about counseling, fees, telehealth, and what to expect when working with Ann.
Getting Started
The first step is scheduling a free 30-minute phone consultation. This is a brief, no-obligation conversation designed to help us get to know each other. You can share your needs, ask questions, and learn more about my approach to see if we're a good fit.
In the first session, we'll discuss what brought you to counseling, your goals, and what you hope to achieve. I'll gather some background information and we'll begin to develop a personalized plan tailored to your unique needs and circumstances.
Standard sessions are 50 minutes. The free initial consultation is 30 minutes by phone.
Session frequency is determined collaboratively based on your needs and goals. Many clients begin with weekly sessions and transition to bi-weekly or monthly as they progress. We'll discuss what makes sense for your situation.
Fees & Insurance
Sessions are $120 per 50-minute session. A free 30-minute phone consultation is available to new clients.
Crisis to Comfort is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. However, superbills (itemized receipts) are provided upon request, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Some clients are reimbursed up to 100% depending on their plan.
A superbill is an itemized receipt that includes the necessary diagnostic and procedure codes your insurance company needs to process an out-of-network reimbursement claim. I provide these upon request, and many clients find their insurance covers a significant portion of the cost.
Faith & Approach
No. Clients from all backgrounds are warmly welcomed. Faith is incorporated respectfully and at your comfort level. Counseling and coaching is always client-centered, compassionate, and supportive — regardless of where you are on your spiritual journey.
Christian counseling integrates evidence-based therapeutic approaches with biblical principles and a faith perspective. For me, this means drawing on the truth that healing and transformation are possible — grounded in the belief that we can be renewed in our minds and spirits. It is not about imposing beliefs, but about offering a framework of hope, meaning, and purpose.
I use a variety of evidence-based approaches tailored to each client, including Cognitive Behavioral Coaching (CBC) and CBT-based techniques, trauma-informed care, solution-focused coaching, and faith-integrated counseling. As a coach, I apply these frameworks within the scope of coaching — not as clinical therapy. The approach is always personalized to your unique needs and goals.
Telehealth & Location
Yes! Telehealth sessions are available through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Because Ann works as a coach, she can meet with clients in all 50 U.S. states and internationally — there are no state licensing borders to navigate. Online sessions offer the same quality of care as in-person appointments.
My office is located at 2005 Ironwood Parkway, Suite 120, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho 83814. I serve clients throughout Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, Hayden, Rathdrum, Sandpoint, Spokane, and the surrounding Inland Northwest region.
